Dirty Rice Named as 1 of 50 Favorite Books and 1 of 25 Favorite Novels of 2012 by St. Louis Post-Dispatch Dirty Rice: A Season in the Evangeline League was recently named by Jane Henderson of the St. Louis Post-Dispath as 1 of 50 favorite books and 1 of 25 favorite fiction works of 2012. Appearing among other books such as Home by Nobel laureate Toni Morrison; National Book Award Winner, The Round House, by Louise Eldrich; and This Is How You Lose Her by Pulitzer Prize winner Junot Diaz, Dirty Rice is described as "prose that snaps like a dandy curveball."
